Race Against Cancer 2009

23/08/2009, well one week after the Safra Run 2009.

I was joing another "RUN". 嘻嘻！！！

Crazy?

No, this round is to support the charity event.

(that's what I said when people asking me why waste $ registering in the event)

No great goodies bag, no prizes, not too well "organised".

But is okay lah, for charity what.

Except there is really a need of water point at the finishing line.

It was a 5km & 10km race (or walk) - non competitive.

Event held at my usual training place - East Coast Park.

Not really having a great feel in this event yet hope my little effort of joining, contribute to the "total head count".

My "great idea" - the more participant in an event will attract more sponsors.

Then the cancer society will get more fund to help people in need.

SAFRA RUN 2009

Yup, it was another run!
SAFRA SINGAPORE BAY RUN & ARMY HALF MARATHON 2009
Held on 16 August 2009, the Singapore's largest running event.

Half Marathon!
Ha! Ha! I know my limit. "new bird"
I only joined the 6 KM fun run.
I don't wish to make the ambulan busy. :D

Started at 8 a.m.

My exictment of running with big crowd of people still there.

Moreover this round is joining so many 阿兵哥。

(lucky ERP not on operation, otherwise we got to install reader on head during the run :P)

Crows of 10km & 21km competitive run.

After 35 mins(approx.), I reached the finishing line.
A goood experience of running over the Benjamin Sheares Bridge.

Yeah!

Ha! Ha! leg massage was provided...........

Arc de Triomphe

今天是。。。。。
去过法国巴黎的人，相信都参观过凯旋门(arc de Triomphe)这个举世闻名的古迹。 它在1836年的今天建成，至今有173 年历史。
凯旋门是法国当时的统治者拿破仑(Napoleon)为纪念自己奥市斯特利茨(Austerlitz)战役中大胜澳俄联军而兴建的。它在1806年8月15日奠基， 共花了30年才建成，高50m,宽45m。
1815年6月，拿破仑在凯旋门竣工前于滑铁卢(Waterloo)之战惨败而被放逐长达6 年，结果客死异乡。在拿破仑倒台后，凯旋门一度停止建造，直到1833年才复工。
虽然拿破仑无缘看到凯旋门建成， 但他的遗体于1840年运回法国安葬时，曾经过这个建筑。
凯旋门位于巴黎繁忙的交通圈中央，长久下来被烟雾熏黑，法国政府在1988年花了1年多时间为它全面整修。

五块钱的“书”

“我带你去看五块钱的书蛤。”
“记得带五块钱哦。”
“我没有五块只有十块可以吗？”
“不用紧我去找."
"ok,有了，可以走了"

那一个星期六，他兴高采烈的要去看五块钱的书。
五块钱的书，奇怪，到底是什么书？
而且，是要要带我去Botanic Garden 早拿五块钱的书。

这么大的植物园。
我们从这一端周到了那一端。。。始终没有找到五块钱的书。
看到的雪白的天鹅，还有好漂亮的鱼爸爸妈妈带着鱼苗游玩。

他，有失望的眼神。
“我们去问人啦。”
“什么书啦？”
“我们走回去再看看可能是这条路噢”
“蛤，要走回去啊，很远嘞。”
“你要找五块钱的书嘛。到底是什么书啦？”

他，没法子。掏出了五块钱纸钞给我看。

Oh My God! 你看。。。。。。

他在找那五块钱背面的树！
****啼笑皆非******

带着失望，从未端走回前端。。。。。。。。。。。
这一次，我知道是树不是书。我就慢慢帮他找树。

快达出口处了。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

“五块钱的树！五块钱的树！”

是儿时的回忆也好，是美丽的误会也好。

找到了，好开心噢！

后记：

走了约3个多钟的植物园，隔天早上，我们还参加了2公里的义走。

哈哈哈哈哈哈。。。。。。。
